  A plentiful supply of china and cutlery together with pots, pans, utensils

  and odd dishes.

  All towels, bed linen and kitchen towels are supplied and there are also

  spare blankets for the colder nights. Also a hairdryer.

  For allergy sufferers, All pillows and duvets are synthetic.

  If you are bringing pets with you, we supply several throws to protect

  the furniture - but DO NOT supply pet towels.

  Gas & electricity are included in the rental charges found on each page

  and there are logs and coal for the open fire.

 There are various local shops/amusements in the summer and in winter there is an excellent general shop

  in New Abbey as well as Dalbeattie and Dumfries. There are numerous Hotels and other eateries , both

  in Southerness and the surrounding villages.

Edinburgh, Glasgow and the west coast are all within easy reach for day trips and the whole area is full of

  places of interest to visit from stately castles, great forests, the bird and wildlife sanctuaries, distilleries and

  historic sites, museums and galleries.

If you are a shopaholic, there are excellent shops in Dumfries and Castle Douglas, as well as the outlet shops at Gretna.
